The University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Journalism & Mass Communication was named a top five communication and media studies program by the QS World University Rankings. This ranking is highest in the Big 10, which has nine universities in the top 50. UW-Madison performed well in rankings for social sciences, 21st, and the arts and humanities, 27th.
Overall, across all fields, UW-Madison ranked 38th in the world, comparable to the Thomson-Reuters’ Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, which ranked the UW 31st. See the full description and rankings of communication and media studies rankings here.
