Amazon is hiring Associate Account Managers (AAM) to consult businesses in growing awareness, and sales, of their products using Amazon’s advertising offerings. This full-time role is ideal for an entry-level or early career candidate who is interested in launching a career at the intersection of advertising and analytics, has a history of achieving ambitious goals, and is an analytical problem solver with an interest in working with both well-known and emerging brands. As an AAM, you will begin your journey at Amazon immersed in an 18-week training program, along with other AAM peers, during which you will learn about the digital advertising industry, dive deep into data to understand trends, become an expert in Amazon’s advertising products, and understand how these products help brands efficiently grow their businesses. You will learn how to develop business relationships with a focus to exceeding customer expectations, perform in-depth data analysis to deliver actionable insights and recommendations, influence short/long term digital media strategy, educate advertisers on digital commerce growth strategies, and hone presentation and negotiation skills. You’ll receive training and personalized coaching to prepare you to independently own advertiser relationships and manage a book of business following successful completion of training. As an AAM, you will become strategic in your use of Amazon’s propriety data to provide personalized recommendations to exceed customer’s business goals. The AAM program provides an opportunity to accelerate career development across roles in advertising, marketing, and sales while supporting one of Amazon’s fastest growing businesses. Responsibilities:

  • Strive to delight our customers by becoming a knowledgeable partner on Amazon Advertising solutions
  • Take a consultative approach to optimizing customer’s advertising campaigns through the use of data and Amazon insights
  • Perform in-depth data analysis to deliver actionable insights and recommendations
  • Learn to evaluate KPIs and optimize campaign performance using a data driven approach
  • Educate advertisers on performance metrics, insights, and how to achieve greater results on Amazon

Responsibility after the program:

  • Develop annual media strategies for growth based on overall advertiser goals/objectives
  • Work cross-functionally with sales and other Amazon partners to drive incremental revenue and increase advertiser satisfaction
  • Develop campaign strategies and audience targeting recommendations per brand and product line
  • Retain and grow revenue from your book of business of existing advertisers
  • Achieve upsell goals through insight driven recommendations
  • Provide support and feedback to future AAM classes

Basic Requirements:

  • 1+ year of digital advertising or equivalent experience, including internships
  • Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers
  • Experience using online productivity tools such as Office 365, Salesforce, or similar software

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Participation in an Amazon Ads Education Alliance course, workshop, or event at their institution by graduation
  • Digital Advertising focused degree and/or coursework
  • An ability to analyze quantitatively, and problem-solve
  • Excellent oral and written communication and ability to influence internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
