– ‘Engagement editor’ is our catchall phrase for editors who deal with audiences: social producers, homepage curators, SEO analysts. The right candidate for this job should have demonstrable experience in some, if not, all of the above areas.
– This is a Thursday-Monday role. The salary range is $52K – $83K, depending upon experience.
– The ideal candidate is someone with a couple of years in a shop that deals with breaking news. In return, you will receive mentorship from leaders across the AP so we can grow you into a future leader yourself.

– This is a perfect role for someone who lives and breathes platforms like YouTube, TikTok and Instagram – because you’ll be creating and curating content for them (in addition to APNews.com).
– From trending soundbites and breaking news to reporter-driven explainers and dispatches, you are someone who can closely follow the news cycle to identify stories of most interest to audiences. It’s a big plus if you’re comfortable going on camera.
