Description

Founded in 2015, the FIEN Foundation provides opportunities for less privileged students to learn and improve their education outcomes.

FIEN offers three different internships:

1. Virtual Fundraising Intern
2. Virtual Web Developer & Design Intern
3. Virtual Content Creation Intern

The Virtual Fundraising Intern will be an individual with strong research, writing, and analytical skills. The Virtual Fundraising Intern will assist with the following:

-Researching funding opportunities within guidelines and writing compelling grant proposals for eligible funding
-Organizing online campaigns through emails, social media, website, Google, and social media ads that will lead to donations

The Virtual Web Developer & Design Intern will assist with the following:

-Testing, maintaining, and improving the design of the website
-Designing visual imagery for the website and ensuring that they are in line with branding for FIEN Foundation
-Designing sample pages including colors and fonts
-Conceptualizing creative ideas for FIEN Foundation website
-Setting up online payment for website

The Virtual Content Creation Intern will assist with the following:

-Creating various content types (videos, articles, infographics) for online publication
-Conducting keyword research and employing SEO best practices to optimize content
-Analyzing web traffic to measure the success of the content (e.g. conversion and bounce rates)
-Preparing content for event marketing and fundraising emails
-Planning, creating, and managing content for social media channels
-Creating impact stories for fundraising campaigns

Communication
Interns will work asynchronously except for a weekly meeting with the supervisor/team and will use Zoom, WhatsApp, and email for communication.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
-Continuing UW-Madison student, sophomore status or higher
-Willingness to adapt to the international work environment
-Good academic and disciplinary standing
-Self-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-Social media and web marketing experience
-Computer programming skills
-Organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
-Graphic design experience
-Qualitative research skills
