Description
The Fundraising Specialist is an integral member of the Lutheran Home Foundation development team privileged to raise funds which sustain and advance the mission of the Lutheran Home and Harwood Place.
The fundraising team partners with donors who give Angel Funds for residents who have outlived their savings, for employees for continuing education and special needs, and for capital specialty items that need attention.
The Fundraising Specialist will quickly come to understand the Lutheran Home and Harwood Place communities are rooted in deep history and supported by generations of generous families eager to help move the organization forward.
The Fundraising Specialist is a detail-oriented, donor-centered, data-driven person. The role is best suited for a curious strategic thinker who enjoys executing and operationalizing.
The core responsibilities being ownership over the annual fund and direct mail, operations support, stakeholder stewardship, grant writing, results reporting, internal and external communications, and event coordination give this fast-paced person time to pause, reflect and adjust where needed.
This position reports to the Executive Director of the Foundation with the opportunity to partner with leadership and board members.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree and have a minimum of three years of experience in a fundraising setting. The ideal candidate will want to learn and get experience in all facets of the development department including annual and capital campaigns, events, major gifts, stewardship, planned giving and more. The Salary range begins at $50,000 and the benefits package is competitive. This is a small team within a large organization.
