Description
Wisconsin Health News is seeking a paid, fall intern for its independent, nonpartisan publication focused on the policy, politics and business of Wisconsin healthcare.
This is a unique opportunity to learn several facets of online news, working for an established company that’s considered a must read by executives, policymakers and others shaping the state’s healthcare landscape.
Responsibilities will include:
-Copy editing
-Helping with virtual and in-person events
-Updating and maintaining the organizations’ websites and social media channels
-Writing articles for the newsletter
-Attending press conferences and other relevant meetings
Wisconsin Health News publishes a daily, subscriber-based email newsletter and hosts regular in-person and virtual events on timely health policy topics.
This paid position is remote, but may include some travel based on location. The intern will also help out with Wisconsin Health News’ sister publication Health News Illinois.
Previous interns have worked their way up the organization, while others have gone on to work for respected publications like ProPublica, the CapTimes and more.
