The Ethics with Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary is launching a new online journal this fall to produce weekly news articles that disseminate the facts in a helpful manner so that a person may draw its own conclusions. Each week the journal will cover three occurrences in a rural, metro, and international context in a factual manner. Our contributors come from multiple backgrounds and beliefs. As journalism students, your idealism, activism and confidence are the attributes we are looking for in our journalists.

• Accuracy: Document who, what, when, and where of a story and cite two or more named witnesses to the occurrence.
• Efficiency: Write the story in 500 words or less.
• Availability: You may be asked to cover up to and no more than one story a week.

• Financial: $100 per story
• Research – 30 mins. Learn the context through virtual tools.
• Interviews – 90 mins. Locate, contact and interview.
• Writing – 60 mins. Consolidate, insert and review.
• A check will be mailed to you on the 5th day of each month, except on weekends and holidays.
• Social: You may advertise any of your social media platforms in your bio link that will appear among our contributors.
