Description

We’re looking for talented volunteers and unpaid interns interested in contributing remotely to Europe in Review or Asia in Review, curated news reviews designed for readers who want to stay abreast of significant events in Europe and Asia, but do not have the time to read multiple daily newspapers from cover to cover.

These are open-access multimedia projects that deliver a regular and complete round-up of major developments across these two continents, focusing on domestic politics, human rights, constitutional law, national and collective security and defense, international relations, geopolitics, and regional governance.

Europe in Review and Asia in Review are initiatives by the German-Southeast Asian Center of Excellence for Public Policy and Good Governance (‘CPG’), an academic institute and think tank funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and attached to the Faculty of Law of Thammasat University in Bangkok. For more information on CPG’s work, please visit cpg-online.de

Volunteers and interns will have the opportunities accumulate a portfolio of published work and gain a considerable head start as they begin looking for jobs in the competitive media industry. Our editorial staff includes experienced former correspondents for Bloomberg News and Agence France-Presse, who will mentor and work closely with aspiring and early-career journalists. This opportunity is particularly suitable for those who follow international affairs or want to become a foreign correspondent.

Unsolicited feedback from previous volunteers and interns has been positive. They have stated that working with us is a great learning experience, and one that has rapidly improved their skills.
