Intern Overview:

Social Media Intern

We’re looking for a Social Media Intern to help Capture Sports & Entertainment and our clients focus on raising awareness of their personal brands and careers in the sports industry and raising funds for the charitable causes they support. The Social Media Intern will create and build posts for multiple clients across multiple platforms in collaboration with the Social Media Coordinator, Senior PR and Marketing Manager, the creative team and other agency Directors. The intern will help to brainstorm and create both content calendars and the content itself, while finding ways to relate that content back to the foundations and their missions. They will bring new ideas and have a deep understanding of current social media trends. They will work with Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to push events and fundraisers for the various clients, as well as other fun content.

Responsibilities on behalf of the agency and clients:

Brand and Communications Strategy
o Collaborate with team members to create social media content calendars with relevant content and fresh ideas
o Keep in touch with the creative team to make sure all needs are communicated and met for each week
o Ensure all tactical ideas and execution align with plan objectives
o Proactively share new ideas and make recommendations that help clients’ and Capture Sports & Entertainment’s business

Operations and Logistics
o Manage accounts and interact with followers and other users in a way that holds the foundations to the highest of standards
o Be timely and intentional with posts, must be flexible and able to share posts on short notice when things arise

Content development
o Write copy for social media posts that aligns with foundations’ voices and mission
o Work with Creative Team leads on graphics needed to support content needs
o Bring new ideas for social media campaigns and posts that can be utilized specifically for one client or across all clients

o Help the Social Media Coordinator with reviewing monthly social analytic reports
o Brainstorm ways that each client’s channels can drive more engagement and bring in more followers


  • Ability to work 15-20 hours/week in-person or remote
  • Experience managing multiple social media accounts at one time
  • Strong spelling and grammar, knowledge of AP Style is a plus
  • Current college student or graduate with coursework in communications, journalism, marketing or similar fields
  • Detail-orientated and organized
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of current trends and a strong understanding of how Facebook, Instagram and Twitter work
