The Libraries’ Teaching & Learning Programs Office collaborates with faculty, instructional staff, and campus administrators to help students develop the skills, attitudes, and knowledge base needed to become efficient, effective users and producers of information.  Additionally, the TLP Office manages the campus common reading program, Go Big Read, in collaboration with the Office of the Chancellor

This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Manage project logistical tasks for running the Go Big Read program.  Examples include:

    • Managing the inventory/distribution of books

      • Managing the program’s email account and communication with the public

      • Coordinating course integration and communication with campus instructors

      • Opportunities to serve on committees related to the project (e.g., Book Selection, Steering, and Book Discussion Questions)

    • Edit and create library instruction and Go Big read related web pages using WordPress

    • Assist with managing the social media presence for the Go Big Read program using Twitter and Facebook, as well as write articles for the program’s blog

  • Assist with assessment initiatives and assist with statistical analysis for library instruction administration

  • Possibility of attending/contributing to or other committees of professional interest

  • Projects of professional/personal interest are also available
