KOLN 10/11 Now/ Gray Media is looking for its next Weekend Evening News Anchor, to lead the most-viewed weekend newscasts for the area’s #1 news team. In this role, you’ll have the benefit of working a 4-day work week! Besides your weekend days on the anchor desk, you’ll work two days as a reporter.
General Responsibilities:
• Produce and anchor weekend newscasts
• Be the key decision maker on weekends, guiding reporters and directing the response during breaking news
• Enterprise, shoot, write, and edit lead stories on reporting days
• Be a digital-first journalist, posting compelling content to station digital and streaming platforms
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of professional newsroom experience
• An engaging and comfortable on-air personality
• The ability to enterprise and produce compelling content from start to finish
• The ability to use exceptional news judgment to prioritize tasks and assignments
• Familiarity with ENPS, Edius or other non-linear editing systems, TVU, Bitcentral, or ARC Publishing a plus
