Seeking Focus Group Participants (October 2015)

Researchers are conducting focus groups to learn more about community understanding of uses of technology in reporting the news. You are invited to participate in this research study about use of drones and other technology in journalism. The purpose of this study is to better understand how journalists might develop practices and norms related to these technologies.

In this study, you will participate with a small group of other people in a focus-group interview with a researcher, with an expected duration of 60 minutes. A short follow-up interview may be necessary to clarify any outstanding issues but would be brief in nature. In total, your participation should take no more than 75 minutes.

Focus group participants will receive a $10 gift card.

The focus groups in the Madison area will be conducted on

  • Tuesday, October 27, 6:30 p.m., Sequoya Library (4340 Tokay Blvd, Madison, WI 53711)
  • Wednesday, October 28, 6:30 p.m., Meadowridge Library (5726 Raymond Rd, Madison, WI 53711)
