We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to lead the campaign’s mission of fighting for the health and well-being of all Wisconsinites. Ali’s top priority is improving the mental health of our residents. The Campaign Manager will be responsible for overseeing the general operations of the campaign including coordinating the campaign strategy development and managing team members. This position will report directly to Ali Maresh.
– Identify and coordinate campaign strategies
– Lead outreach and communication efforts
– Recruit, train, and supervise campaign team members
– Assist with fundraising goals
– Bachelors degree in political science, communication, business, or related-field
– Experience with previous political campaigns
– Excellent organizational skills
– Very strong communication skills
Ali is a mental health advocate and thought leader on well-being in the digital age. Most recently, Ali served as a communications specialist for the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and the Office of Children’s Mental Health. In this role, she supported state legislators, senior government officials, and the Office of the First Lady on a variety of public health initiatives. Ali also worked as an adjunct faculty member at Madison College, where she taught a mass communications course and challenged students to critically analyze media’s impact on society. In 2016, Ali worked with the nation’s first technology addiction center on a plan to educate parents about the importance of moderate screen time for children’s well-being. She later spoke about this topic to students and parents throughout Wisconsin and co-founded the Madison Tech and Society meetup group.
Earlier in her career, Ali worked in international education and supported the immigrant community in Washington, D.C. She was an international student advisor at Georgetown University, an active member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators, and a volunteer ESL teacher.
Ali is originally from Madison and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She received her masters degree from Georgetown University in public relations and corporate communications.
