Description

We are looking for a Public Relations Graduate Intern to join our team in our San Francisco office! This paid internship is designed to give you the authentic experience of working in an agency. You’ll be an active team member, tackling media monitoring and media relations, developing reports and working on research assignments, support internal communications and media and strategy assignments. We are also looking for someone who is can help support general office functions as needed.

You may also be asked to dig deep into what people are saying online, use data to quantify and project a trend, assist at events big and small, communicate with the media, project manage or sit in on a client brainstorm. You will collaborate with our award-winning account teams who rep international (ahem, resume boosting) brands, while scoring some real-world experience. Our space is limited, so hurry and apply!

What You’ll Do:
• Support day-to-day earned, owned, social and paid media efforts for local, state and national brands
• Coordinate with account teams as a part of campaigns
• Develop daily monitoring and recap reports for various clients leveraging online research and media monitoring tools, such as Sysomos, Muck Rack, Cision, Crimson, Hexagon or Talkwalker
• Support account teams on event coordination, project management, research, client activations, administrative tasks and other duties as assigned
• Understand influencer and social media marketing, think on your feet and be adaptable
• Build media lists and assist with the research of various client engagements
• Work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently, and collaborate with all members of the team
• Assist with general office related tasks, such as scheduling calls, managing calendars, ensuring office supplies are replenished and other duties as assigned.
• Think creatively and show willingness to learn and share ideas

What You Have:
• Bachelor’s degree in public relations or communications and a recent college graduate
• Availability to work a full-time schedule, Monday – Friday
• Prior internships with a public relations, marketing or media agency
• Experience with media relations, media monitoring, event planning and project management
• Ability to write in a clear and concise manner; draft written copy and recommendations for a variety of materials, including blogs, pitches and social media content
• Flexible and eager to work on any assignment
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently, and collaborate with all members of the team
• Think creatively and show willingness to learn and share ideas
• Show a high level of organizational skills, proactively seeking opportunities to learn and thinking ahead to deliver client-ready work
• Desire to understand media (earned, owned, paid, shared) and have the ability to quickly learn
• Experience working with and desire to learn more about B2B and technology clients
