About the Intercollegiate Tennis Association
The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) is the governing body of college tennis, overseeing men’s and women’s varsity tennis at all levels – NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, NAIA, and Junior/Community College.
The ITA will be hosting the Division I National Men’s Team Indoor Championships at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium at the University of Wisconsin from Feb. 14-17. This event serves as an indoor counterpart to the year-end NCAA championships, with the winners of 15 regional sites qualifying to join the host, Wisconsin in the 16-team field. The ITA is looking for creative, motivated students to compliment it’s own coverage and add value to this championship, while gaining valuable work experience with a national championship level athletic event.
Example Services of Value:
● Video/written coverage of the event. Write/record and produce features on players, recaps of daily events, previews leading up to the event, etc. The ITA is undergoing a digital push towards content curation, so quality content may be published on the ITA website and social media accounts.
● Livestreaming services (2-6 tennis courts). Must be able to provide own equipment (cameras with mounting hardware, production hardware/software, etc.).
● Broadcast/commentary services. Play-by-play coverage of main courts (knowledge of tennis required). Must be able to provide own equipment (microphone, production software, etc.).
● Fan engagement efforts. Must work with the ITA staff to market the event and engage UW students, local tennis fans, and other interested parties.
For more information or questions, please contact Caroline Huey (email@example.com).
Please Note: This is not an exhaustive list of services that may be provided. The ITA is open to all creative ideas. This work is voluntary, though potential exists for compensation dependent on the value of services provided and subject to approval by the CEO of the ITA. A formal proposal and request for compensation must be placed to receive consideration.
To be considered: Proposal of what you would like to do and provide work samples. Looking for self-starters are a plus!
