Jasun Carr earned his PhD in Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2014 and is now an Assistant Professor of Digital Media at Idaho State University. His research focuses on the impact of the Third-Person Effect and the Influence of Presumed Influence on persuasion, consumer culture, and civic engagement; and the interaction of product placements, consumer culture, and peer groups. He has received several top paper awards, co-authored papers published in leading journals, and is an active member in the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.
