Marianne holds degrees in anthropology and journalism from the University of Georgia. She graduated from the pro-track program in 2011. She leads communications and marketing for the Center for Investigating Health Minds at the Waisman Center. She produces written and multimedia stories and coordinates with media interested in the Center’s work. Before joining the Center, she worked at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery, worked as a freelance journalist for several media outlets, including the Discovery Channel, HowStuffWorks.com and Atlanta’s NPR affiliate.
Previously, Marianne reported on science, health, and the environment for local and national media outlets, and worked as a science writer at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery.
