SJMC Shatters Records and Raises over $16,000 During Fill the Hill 2024

Thank you “Flock”stars! This year’s Fill the Hill was a record-breaking success and we are so grateful for all of the gifts made to the SJMC Annual Fund. Your support during Fill the Hill will help provide our students with scholarships, create professional development and networking opportunities, and support instructors as they develop experiences that best prepare students for ever-changing media landscapes. Check out how we did.

Our flock puts the “FUN” in fundraising

This year, we asked our SJMC flock to help us reach 126 gifts (one more than we received last year) and if we reached our goal, we promised that Director Katy Culver would don a Founding Fathers costume while lecturing on the First Amendment during her Law of Mass Communication class. Our alumni and friends not only reached our goal, they exceeded it. As promised, below is a video of Katy in her Founding Father costume, complete with a powdered wig.

Thank you to all of our faculty and staff, students, alumni and friends for making Fill the Hill 2024 so successful! We are beyond grateful for your support!
