Are you a creative, detail-oriented, hard worker who wants to make a difference with a team of fun, dedicated coworkers? Holy Wisdom Monastery is looking for an individual with strong communication and computer skills who can meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities:
• Help implement the marketing plan for Holy Wisdom Monastery.
• Create, schedule, send and analyze event emails for the organization.
• Market events by submitting event postings to various platforms including Facebook events, Eventbrite, Isthmus calendar, etc.
• Create registration forms for events at the monastery.
• Manage event information and deadlines using Trello, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Outlook calendar.
• Correspond with program facilitators as needed.
• Schedule program meetings between coworkers and facilitators.
• Design and send weekly electronic newsletter.
• Tag photos and organize files.
• Assist with the organization’s website, including search engine optimization, posting blogs and removing old content.
• Writing articles about the monastery and our communities.
• Additional responsibilities depending on the applicant’s skillset. Examples may include social media, analyzing data with Google analytics, creating Google ads or taking and editing photos and video as needed.
Qualifications:
• High school graduate. Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in communications or marketing preferred but not required.
• Zero to three years of experience in communications and marketing, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in digital marketing, email, social media, website maintenance & SEO, WordPress, photography, video production, and/or content creation preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications. Knowledge of WordPress, SEO, Google Analytics, Google Ads and CRM, a plus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16-18 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
