Description
Different Sounds is a creative agency and record label founded by Alex Vazelakis, former Head of A&R at Ultra Records (Sony Music).
After a decade shaping some of the most forward-thinking artists in electronic and alternative music — including Sofi Tukker, Icona Pop, Levity, Austin Millz, Jamie Jones, San Holo, Golden Vessel, and Snakehips — and contributing to the Grammy Award-winning album Subconsciously by Black Coffee, Alex launched Different Sounds to create a home for the wild, the weird, and the true.
At Different Sounds, we champion authenticity over algorithm, art over formula. We help artists make and release their best work — projects that move culture, not just follow it.
The Role
We’re looking for a Social Media & Marketing Assistant who’s ready to get their hands dirty, learn fast, and help us build something different. You’ll work directly with the founder and artists, helping turn big creative ideas into real-world impact. This is a great opportunity for a recent or upcoming graduate passionate about music, culture, and storytelling — someone who wants to start their career at the intersection of art and innovation.
You Will
• Support the creation and execution of social media content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms.
• Reach out to key influencers
• Assist with artist branding and storytelling for releases.
• Research trends, creative ideas, and cultural moments we can tap into.
• Track content performance and learn how to pivot strategies for growth.
• Be part of a team that values creativity, authenticity, and risk-taking.
You Are
• A 2025/6 graduate (or recent grad) with a passion for music, creativity, and culture — especially electronic and indie music.
• Deeply interested in social media — you understand how platforms evolve, and you’re excited by current trends, not intimidated by them.
• A strong communicator — both visually and with words.
• A social media native who knows how to create content that feels real, not forced.
• A self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving, flexible environment.
• Someone who thinks differently and loves pushing ideas further.
• Excited to work closely with artists and help shape their stories.
Bonus Points If You
• Have experience running your own creative projects (even school projects, side hustles, or personal brands).
• Are handy with Canva, basic video editing apps, or other content creation tools.
• Have a background or interest in marketing, media, communications, or the arts.
Compensation
Part-time position, paid via monthly retainer — amount based on experience and fit.
Remote work environment with flexible hours.
Deadline – October 28, 2025.
