Description
Tech is ubiquitous. Tech solutions for social problems are not. An emerging class of startups is building tech to solve these social problems. They are tech nonprofits. Fast Forward bridges the tech and nonprofit sectors to build capacity for tech nonprofits, so they can scale solutions to our world’s most urgent problems.
To date, Fast Forward’s portfolio of tech nonprofits have impacted 262M lives and raised $1 billion in follow-on funding. 85% of the portfolio have a founder who has personal experience with the problem, 62% have a founder who is a woman, and 75% have a founder who is a person of color.
As the first and only organization focused exclusively on scaling startups that combine the best tech with sustainable nonprofit business models, Fast Forward’s mission is to accelerate impact. Visit us: http://www.ffwd.org.
Fast Forward is looking for a Visual Storyteller, a creative force who uses design and narrative to champion the tech for good movement. This role reports to the Senior Content Marketing Manager.
You’ll bring Fast Forward’s brand to life across everything we do — from high-profile events like Demo Day to digital campaigns that spotlight tech nonprofit founders changing the world. One day you might be designing a landing page or crafting a short video, the next you’re refining deck templates or concepting visuals for a major event. Every project connects back to one purpose: making the tech for good movement impossible to ignore.
You’re the kind of person who gets equal joy from crafting the perfect layout, organizing an asset library, and designing a campaign that makes people feel something. You thrive on collaboration, find satisfaction in creating tools that make the whole team shine, and bring curiosity and creativity to every project.
A portfolio of 2-4 design and writing samples is required with your application. Writing samples can be short-form (think social media captions or ad copy) or embedded within your design work (think headlines or copy on a graphic). For each piece, briefly outline the project objectives, your design process, and the measurable impact or outcomes achieved.
This is a full-time, in-office role based in the Presidio in San Francisco, CA (no remote or hybrid options).
See the job posting for specifics on role responsibilities.
Salary: $110,000 – $120,000 – negotiable depending on experience.
Deadline – November 16, 2025.
