Shanhong Yu is a master’s journalism student at UW-Madison with a solid foundation in communication, film, and multimedia production. Currently, she is a Photography Intern with the College of Letters & Science’s Office of Strategic Communication & Advancement, where she supports the college’s creative initiatives through visual storytelling.
Holding a BA in Communications from USC’s Annenberg School, Shanhong combines her storytelling talent with technical expertise developed through roles in film production, project management, and social media. Her experience includes producing documentaries, multimedia marketing content, and engaging social media campaigns, excelling in crafting impactful narratives and managing end-to-end production.
Her background reflects a commitment to creativity and cross-cultural storytelling, and she aims to leverage her journalistic skills to share meaningful stories with a broad audience.
