Assistant Professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Kathryn McGarr, was recently selected for the Margaret A. Blanchard Doctoral Dissertation Prize for her dissertation, “Gentlemen of the Press: Post World War II Foreign Policy Reporting from the Washington Community.”
The Margaret A. Blanchard Doctoral Dissertation Prize is awarded by the American Journalism Historians Association to the best doctoral dissertation that discusses mass communication history. The winner is awarded $500, meanwhile, $200 is awarded to each honorable mention.
