Description
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation has an opportunity for an Events Manager who will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Cooke Scholar and Alumni events throughout the year. The Events Manager will work with the external events planning team, Foundation staff, program partners, vendors, and speakers to plan, manage, implement, and evaluate exceptional Scholar programming. Responsibilities include collaborating with program staff to set event goals and objectives and develop aligned content and activities; developing and managing detailed annual project plans for each event; and building and managing detailed events budgets. Additional responsibilities include managing requests for proposals, vendor selection, contract execution, and payment and reimbursement processes; managing day-of logistics, risk mitigation, and on-site troubleshooting; and building participant event surveys and summarizing feedback in actionable reports.
The salary range for this position is $87,000 – $100,000. The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation offers a comprehensive and generous benefits package. Requirements
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience in event planning with increasing responsibilities or developing programming in the field of secondary education, higher education, or other related areas. Excellent project management, calendar timeline, and budget management experience is required.
