Alternatively, we have remote internships available so that you can boost your professional development from the comfort of your own home. These internships will give you a thorough understanding of the way NGOs operate, as you’ll be a vital part of a small organization doing important field work. During these Fundraising Internships, you’ll get a thorough understanding of the international fundraising landscape, as well as practical experience in areas such as grant writing, individual giving, and corporate fundraising.

Tasks:
As a Fundraising intern, your tasks may vary depending on your skills and the needs of the project, but they will likely include some of the following;
• Research: do fundraising research and identify new funding sources, potential partners, and opportunities
• Proposals & Grants: prepare for and/or write funding proposals and grant applications
• Digital Marketing: design and manage digital fundraising campaigns, assist with strategy and implementation of marketing and communications
• Monitoring & Evaluation: assist with monitoring and evaluation activities in the field, analyze data, and write impact reports.
• Partners: help organize fundraising events, assist with donor relation management and communications
Requirements:
• Strong research skills
• Excellent writing skills
• An ability to work on a strategic level, and to work quite independently
• A willingness to take on a variety of tasks
• Some experience in fundraising or digital marketing would be a plus
• A passion for project cause

• You will be contacted by Roots Interns, as they handle all internship applications for these organizations. Roots will also help with any practical preparations before the start of your internship (f.e. arranging your accommodation, answering any questions you might have about living abroad, etc.)
• During the internship you will be linked to a supervisor/mentor that will guide you and provide support & feedback throughout your time with the organization.
• There are multiple destinations and organizations available depending on your preference.
• Please note that the internship is based on a volunteer work placement, so you will not receive a payment or stipend of any kind.
