We are adding to our Marketing team with an additional position–Marketing and Communications Specialist! You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing communication plans to promote our brand, products, and services. This role requires a creative thinker with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of various marketing channels.

Candidate must live within 75 miles of Madison, WI. Must be willing to come onsite to our Madison locations twice per month.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing communication strategies to support the company’s objectives and drive brand awareness
  • Define key audiences and preferred channels
  • Create engaging content for various marketing channels, including email campaigns, websites, social media, blogs, and press releases
  • Collaborate with internal team members, including marketing, design, and product development, to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all channels
  • Coordinate with external partners, such as advertising agencies, PR firms, and media outlets, to maximize brand exposure and coverage
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for growth
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of marketing campaigns, using metrics and analytics to optimize effectiveness and ROI using data to inform future decisions
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve marketing communication strategies.
  • Develop campaign-based messaging for cross-channel usage
  • Align with marketing calendar

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree required
  • Demonstrable working experience in marketing, leading and managing campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate (email marketing experience preferred)
  • Analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Project management and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Sense of urgency and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in marketing and measurement
  • Adaptable and positive personality with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Strong verbal communication, writing and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling and persuasive content
  • Ability to learn marketing tools and platforms, including email marketing and content management systems
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and brand building
  • Bonus points: Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience, solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, BrightEdge, Semrush)
