Description
Gốm Sen is a pottery manufacturer and exporter, specializing in handcrafted and hand-painted pieces. The organization’s mission is to foster sustainable livelihoods and environmental protection in Bat Trang village. Gốm Sen achieves this by empowering the disadvantaged young and potential artisans, promoting development of more environmentally friendly production methods, while preserving traditional Vietnamese culture.
The Marketing Intern will divide their time between Gốm Sen’s studio in Bat Trang Pottery Village located in Hanoi’s Ecopark and Gốm Sen’s store in Hanoi’s Old Quarter. In collaboration with a team of Vietnamese interns, the Marketing Intern’s focus will be on conducting surveys on pottery buying trends of international visitors to Hanoi and pottery purchasing preferences and needs of U.S. importers. As part of this project, the intern may participate in the following tasks:
-Developing interview questions and survey forms
-Conducting virtual interviews and questionnaires with importers and/or relevant parties
-Conducting in-person interviews with tourists visiting Hanoi
-Analyzing survey data and compiling a report of survey findings
-Developing a recommended marketing strategy and action plan for Gốm Sen
-Other ad hoc tasks as needed
