We are seeking a part-time Media Support Specialist to assist the Media Director in creating multimedia to enhance the outreach of our city wide – worldwide ministries. This position is scheduled up to 15 hours per week, of which 5-6 hours are on Sunday (6:30 a.m. – noon) and the remaining hours during the week with a schedule to be determined. This position serves Bethel by being a part of the media crew responsible for the successful production of weekly worship services and multimedia needs.
Role Responsibilities:
* Develop & implement creative ways to use multimedia within worship services and special events.
* Assist in the production of Sunday worship services for TV and online broadcasts.
* Assist in scheduling broadcasts, production, and recording services.
* Prepare weekly streaming of worship services.
* Perform media team responsibilities as needed in the absence of a crew member.
* Assist in maintaining audio, sound, and display equipment in good working order.
* Collaborate with pastoral staff and ministry teams on the organization’s multi-media services.
* Collaborate with the Communications Manager to align media aspects with Bethel’s branding.
* Create and maintain broadcast intro/outro videos, promos, etc. as needed.
* Update and maintain media screens weekly with visual announcements.
* Produce special videos for Bethel and its ministries.
* Support the Communications Manager with website updates.
Qualification Requirements:
* B.S. or B.A. in video production, broadcasting, graphic design or a related field is required.
* 2+ years experience in a broadcasting or production management role is preferred.
* 2+ years experience in directing live multi-camera production is preferred.
* Demonstrated proficiency in Google Suite is required.
* Experience with video editing, switching, graphic design, and Adobe Suite is preferred.
* Knowledge of audio/sound equipment, including operation of a sound board and microphones during services is required.
* Knowledge of video equipment is required.
* Knowledge of directing video production is required.
* Ability to troubleshoot problems in all technical areas during service, including video, audio or lighting issues.
* Demonstrated ability to attentiveness and detail oriented.
* Leadership skills for directing a media team.
* Demonstrated ability to work with others on a team as well as independently.
* Ability to maintain a positive attitude and poise under pressure.
* Adherence to the theology and values inherent in Bethel’s mission and values.
* Completion of a background check is required.
