Description
The Platform Communications Intern will report to either the Executive Vice President of Digital and Marketing or the Senior Director of Advocacy & Strategic Communications. Daily responsibilities will primarily include the following
Communications and Research:
• Assist the team with projects and/or presentations. This may include research, proofreading/copy editing, creating/editing spreadsheets, collecting and compiling data, reading and summarizing information, creating presentation slides, drafting of press releases, media advisories, or other copy. This position includes a significant role in our social media and promotional strategy, including drafting, posting, and editing social media posts and newsletters. The position will also include other duties as assigned.
Marketing and Digital:
• Assist the Marketing and Digital team with various projects and tasks that may include: reporting metrics, creative development, digital asset audits, ad copywriting, research, and other various marketing and digital responsibilities.
Qualifications:
A qualified candidate will have an interest in communications, politics, digital, or business operations. Strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential in this position as are strong interpersonal skills. Some college experience is strongly preferred in this position.
Previous job experience strongly preferred in this position, particularly previous office experience.
