ABOUT THE PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERNSHIP

BerlinRosen is seeking highly motivated individuals who are interested in getting hands-on experience in issue and campaign strategy, communications, media advocacy and/or tech public relations. We’re proud to provide an internship program that offers the skills and experiences to be successful.

Interns will be assigned to work on a specific team and may collaborate with other divisions and teams as needed. Interns will be asked to focus on a range of projects, including longer-term and day-to-day/immediate tasks assigned by their team and will learn the basics of high-level communications strategizing, writing and pitching.

Joining our team means working at a company with a diverse client base, including sectors such as technology, real estate, social impact, consumer goods and more. This variety ensures a dynamic work environment with opportunities to engage in a wide range of projects and industries.

Role duration: Our Fall 2024 Internship Program runs from late August/early September to mid-to-late December.

Role hours: Interns must be able to work 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, on a 9 a.m.-to-5 p.m. Eastern Time schedule. Please do not apply if you cannot meet this requirement.

Role location: This role is based in either our New York, N.Y. or Washington, D.C. office on a hybrid basis, in-office approximately 2-3 days per week.

Internships are available on the following teams:

Arts & Culture: The Arts & Culture team focuses on clients that will shape the future of New York and beyond — from the built environment and design of the future, to the cultural institutions that make our city one of the most dynamic and exciting urban environments on earth. We are working in partnership with some of the most forward-looking institutions in and around NYC, including the Queens Museum, Lincoln Center, David Geffen Hall, 92NY, The Juilliard School, Brooklyn Public Library, and Long Wharf Theatre, among many others.

Cities and Public Affairs: Our Cities team leads communications campaigns for clients in commercial real estate, affordable housing, public affairs, urbanism, arts and culture, architecture and design. Clients range from major civic and cultural institutions to leading real estate developers, nonprofits, labor unions and advocacy campaigns that impact the top policy issues in the northeastern region, including clean energy, the cannabis industry, criminal justice reform, homelessness and hunger and child & family well-being.

Impact: The Impact team’s work spans a range of geographies and issues, with clients including major philanthropies, national and local advocacy organizations, corporations and nonprofits. We support our clients with media relations, thought leadership, digital organizing and other new online tactics to encourage targeted audiences to take action.
