Description
UHS offers award-winning, high quality medical, mental health, prevention, and wellness services to enrolled UW-Madison students.
This individual is expected to have a regular, weekly in-person schedule ranging from 10-15 hours per week.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
• Work collaboratively with other student employees to create reels, posts, and stories for Instagram.
• Schedule posts and monitor analytics across multiple social media platforms.
• Assist and manage monthly content calendar.
• Serve as a UHS brand ambassador by participating in outreach events/tabling events, appearing in videos, and engaging with various audiences through UHS social media accounts.
• Assist with additional communications-related tasks as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• A working knowledge of short form video creation with CapCut, Instagram Edits, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with a variety of social media platforms and awareness of current trends and practices.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple projects effectively.
• Interest in health and/or higher education communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively with UHS professional staff and student staff.
Qualifications:
• Though not required, the ideal candidate will continue in the position for a minimum of two semesters.
• Undergraduate student majoring in Communications, Public Health, or related.
