Description
The Janesville Gazette is seeking a sports reporter in our Janesville, Wisconsin, office. This is a full-time in-office position. We are a digital-first operation with preference given to candidates who in addition to demonstrating exceptional writing and reporting skill can produce great podcast, web and social media content. Photography skill is a bonus.
Janesville is a city of 65,000 people with two public high schools and NCAA Division III athletics powerhouse UW-Whitewater just up the road. Top candidates will be passionate about high school and college sports and will also understand the importance Gazette readers place on national sports coverage. Finally, we’re seeking candidates who can help take our coverage beyond game play, to include sports feature and enterprise stories.
