Description

We’re looking for a thoughtful, emotionally perceptive writer to help shape real-life stories into meaningful, memorable narratives.

You’ll collaborate directly with our technical founder to refine a pilot set of five stories based on recorded interviews with older adults. These stories are first transformed into rough drafts using AI—but your job is to bring them to life. You’ll revise and rewrite where needed to ensure each story flows naturally, sounds authentically human, and preserves the voice, nuance, and emotional depth of the original speaker.

This is not a technical role, and no AI experience is required. You’ll bring the heart, clarity, and storytelling instinct that makes a draft feel like something someone would actually want to read and share.

What You’ll Do:
• Edit and shape narrative drafts into polished, emotionally resonant stories
• Ensure tone, voice, and pacing feel natural and human
• Identify moments that need clarification, rewriting, or added depth
• Work with our founder to develop a consistent narrative style for the pilot
• Contribute ideas to help define what “great” looks like for our stories

You Might Be a Fit If:
• You’re a strong writer or editor who loves real, human-centered stories
• You’re currently a student or recent grad in writing, journalism, English, or a related field
• You have a sharp eye for language and a strong sense of emotional tone
• You’re curious about storytelling tools and how AI might support human creativity
• You’re collaborative, reliable, and eager to learn by doing

Why This Matters:
We’re building something new—an AI-powered tool to help families preserve meaningful life stories. While AI can generate a draft, it takes a human to make it matter. If you’re someone who loves shaping stories that feel true and alive, we’d love to work with you.
