Lynne Cotter, MPH is a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication, with a minor in Psychology, focusing on health technology communication and visual and interactive health messaging. Lynne uses qualitative (focus groups, interviews) and quantitative methods (Bayesian statistics, linear mixed effects regression analyses) to explore the intersection of health technology and public health, through the lens of media studies and health communication theory. She also uses community-based research methods, particularly for controversial health topics such as childhood vaccinations. She is a part of the HITS and CAMER research teams. Lynne has a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences with a minor in Global Health from Cornell University, a Master of Public Health from the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice, two brilliant, kind, hilarious kids, and a pretty cool husband.
