Stefan Peterson
Lecturer; Creative Director, Habitat for Humanity International
Stefan Peterson teaches Journalism 411, Multimedia Design. He serves as the global creative director of the housing nonprofit Habitat for Humanity International, working with photo, video and design teams worldwide to tell the Habitat story. He also runs a freelance graphic design firm specializing in visual communication and branding services, consulting for clients including the World Health Organization, the United Nations, USAID and others.
A current SJMC professional master’s degree student, he holds undergraduate degrees in art and business from the University of San Diego and a first master’s in development studies from the University of London.
Peterson has taught college-level design in Kenya as a Peace Corps volunteer, as well as at Madison College. He is an avid Wisconsin river kayaker, and lives on a farm in Mazomanie with his little family, seven cats, four horses, and one sweet-natured— but hopelessly dim — Siberian husky.
