Badgers Give Back is the heart of Wisconsin Athletics dedicated to advancing a culture of giving back through socially responsible programs, events, and collaboration with community partners. Common community events include unique experiences at sporting events donation drives, ticketing programs, wish fulfillment experiences, hospital visits, and other goodwill initiatives. Work with local Madison community partners such as American Family Children’s Hospital, Boys & Girls Club of Dane County, Special Olympics of Wisconsin, and many more!

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• A creative thinker, ready to come to work with fresh ideas and suggestions for improvement and new initiatives
• Ability to work with a diverse range of people from different backgrounds and experiences, including underserved Madison populations, especially children
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
• Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills across multiple audiences Ability to think outside the parameters, adapt quickly to change and communicate changes and desired outcomes to multiple different audiences Demonstrated ability to manage projects, including development and execution
• Ability to write and edit press releases and a comprehensive knowledge of social media
• Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to schedule events and manage multiple calendars
• Respectful of sensitive and confidential information
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn complex NCAA rules and regulations
Requirements: Candidates must be enrolled at a higher education institution and possess a valid driver’s license.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and execute charitable projects and goodwill initiatives, including wish fulfillment experiences and student-athlete led initiatives
• Tell the story of Badgers Give Back; capture experiences and tell the story through photography, video, social media, etc.
• Provide administrative and event planning support to the office of Engagement & Community Outreach
• Applicants must be able to operate a vehicle
Schedule: Hours vary and are specific to different sport schedules and community partner needs; evening and weekend hours required.
Job Location: Wisconsin Athletics, Student-Athlete Performance Center
Anticipated Start & End Dates:
Interns will start Summer/Fall 2025 and will go through May 2026 with the option to a mutually agreed upon renewal for a second year. Summer hours will be discussed during interview process.
Additional Details:
Looking for 3-4 summer 2025 interns and 5-6 fall/spring 2025-2026 interns
Hours per week (estimate): 20-30 in summer and 10-15 during the school year
