Description

This is a great internship to get some professional journalism experience.

We will mostly be investigating state government, politics, their campaign donors and law enforcement in Wisconsin. Interns will get experience in a variety of areas, including investigation/data gathering, graphic design and fundraising, which is becoming an essential skill in journalism. We also need our interns to adapt our stories into videos for social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, facebook, etc.

We are a nonpartisan journalism organization, which means if you work for us, you give up your right to make partisan political statements on social media, do partisan political activism, etc. You’ll have to scrub your social media of any partisan political content before you start.

Start date: ASAP.

Duration: ongoing

Commitment: 5-10 hours per week

Location: Madison preferred, but you’ll mostly work remotely

Duties: creating videos for our social media accounts, online research and computer work, graphic design, database building, fundraising support, photography, open records requests, miscellaneous duties
