Description
This will be a part-time, summer job that will assist the Marketing Department with their social media and general marketing communication efforts. . This will include social media, content development, asset development, special event support, internal training support, and miscellaneous administrative functions.

• Editing, creating and posting content to different social media platforms
• Planning, creating and adhering to content calendars.
• Utilizing the Hootsuite social media management platform to schedule social media posts and run reports.
• Help plan/implement social media campaigns
• Photography, and asset or video development appropriate for social media.
• Assisting with internal special events.
• Assisting with internal training support.
Minimum Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.
Experience:
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational program in marketing, communications, social media
Skills:
• Proficiency with MicroSoft Word and Excel
• Ability to use Canva a plus
• Ability to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with Marketing Communications members.
• Understanding of protocol and office decorum
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to work independently
Travel:
Some local travel may be required
Working Conditions:
Most of the work is performed in a typical office environment, however, some work may be performed at Salvation Army locations
