Maria Brunetta

Maria Brunetta is a fourth-year undergraduate student studying Journalism (Broadcast/Strategic Communication Track), Spanish and Latin American, Caribbean and Iberian Studies with a certificate in Sports Communication. She studied abroad in Seville, Spain in Spring 2023. Maria is a production assistant at PBS Wisconsin and a social media intern at UW-Madison Campus and Visitor Relations. She has also worked at WORT FM as a local news reporter and is now a collaborator in the Spanish-language show “En Nuestro Patio” and the international news show, “World View.” She is originally from Brazil and moved to Brookfield, Wisconsin in 2008 where she spent most of her life. Maria is thrilled to be a part of the Journalism School’s Inclusion Committee this year.
