Jiayun dives herself into the interdisciplinary research field of media and gender studies. Specifically, her current research interests include media representation of gender roles and gender-based violence, media’s effects on public perceptions of gender norms and attitudes towards gender issues, and body image in the media. Besides, she is also exploring and developing her interest in political communication. She earned her B.A. in the School of Journalism and Communication at Wuhan University.
