Description
Lead Editor needed for Contractor Supply Magazine, the leader in its channel serving construction tool and supply distributors, manufacturers and rep agencies with a magazine, website and e-newsletters. This rare opportunity in a highly desirable, stable industry is made possible by the retirement of the current editor, who has served this industry for over 25 years.
The successful candidate will be an outgoing person with excellent writing, copyediting, digital media and social media skills (video editing and podcast editing skills are a plus). Impeccable organization is a must. The candidate should be deadline- and detail-oriented and should enjoy building a network of relationships in a dynamic, fascinating, friendly, close-knit industry. Integrity is everything in this industry, so the successful candidate will be expected to display the highest ethical and professional standards at all times.
He or she should thrive on the everyday challenges of business-to-business media and be willing to travel occasionally for stories, industry events and trade shows. No construction experience is necessary, but the candidate should be willing to participate in industry training and have an interest in tools and machinery in the construction space.
Contractor Supply Magazine is part of Direct Business Media LLC., a boutique B2B media company that offers a competitive salary, benefits and a friendly, informal work environment. This employee position is open for telecommuters within the state of Wisconsin. An attractive office space is available in Fort Atkinson, approximately 30 miles southeast of Madison, Wisconsin.
