Omar Waheed is a current grad student in the journalism M.A program in the SJMC at UW-Madison. His focus is on investigative and narrative journalism. Waheed is currently a business reporter at Madison365.
Waheed received his B.S. from Iowa State University where he studied marketing with a focus on statistical analytics and minored in journalism. He previously worked as a reporter for the Des Moines Register, a contributing reporter for a few places in Arizona and a short contract for the New York Times. He received an award for his reporting at the Register in 2022 from the Iowa News Association.
